Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third graders are so much fun! Creativity is key to a happy classroom. To have this creative aspect, we must provide students with the tools that we are given. We are able to do this with the help of our community. Our school is in a small town, but each year I'm lucky to have such unique and creative kids. My students come from all different social groups. Some have access to many types of resources outside of school and some do not. I try to incorporate as many resources and teaching strategies I can to give my students what they need to be successful!
My Project
Chromebooks would make it possible for my students to gather information and demonstrate their knowledge in a creative way, using technology based programs for literacy and Google Slides to assist in research projects.
What was once only imagined is now possible through the use of technology.
With Chromebooks in our classroom, my students will be able to access the Internet during our fluency time and explore the concepts we learn in the classroom even further. When researching, they can share their knowledge with their peers through slide show projects, track their reading fluency progress using Google Sheets, or even publish their original stories they write through Google Docs. The possibilities are endless.
