Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are amazing! They are exited to learn all of the things that are in our curriculum. They love to participate in class. Our school is small and amazing, it really is a community of students.

Our sixth grade students absolutely LOVE math!

They cheer when we solve problems, and always ask for extra homework. All of these students deserve to have the materials they need to be constantly challenged. In a world in which technology is so prominent, we need more resources! We have a diverse student body, with heavy emphasis on Latino students. We are a public K-8 school in the middle of Boston, where students are bused in from all parts of the city. There are 34 sixth graders and most of them have been here since kindergarten!

My Project

Students have Ondine math, Spanish, and English homework on a daily basis. Even in school, many of our projects and curriculum are only accessible via Ondine. These specific Ondine tools I use track data give me summarized data on a weekly basis so I can adjust my instruction based on what they need help with!

This project will make a difference in that our students will have an opportunity to work with technology exclusively in the classroom!

School can be so much more engaging, and helpful when you are on a specialized program, geared to your strengths and weaknesses.
