All the students at my school deserve the best! I have some really amazing, dynamic third graders. That’s why I have decided to go to third grade with them. My students have a ton of personality. This group of students are incredible and deserve the best learning opportunities.
I work at a Title I school in Los Angeles.
That means a large portion of our population qualifies for free or reduced price lunch because of their socio-economic status. We are an environmental studies school.
My Project
Unfortunately, one of our class' laptops died this month. It's really hard to become a 21st century prepared student without technology. We had 6 laptops and now we are down to 5 for 24 students to share.
Having an additional Chromebook in our class will make it easier for students to access online apps, as well as, being able to do online research.
Please help my students get technologically savvy, by investing in this project. My students will go on to Clever.com to access Benchmark Advance (their Language Arts materials) and Dreambox (which helps with math). They will also log into Nitro Type and Dance Mat Typing, to get prepared for testing. In addition, they will access Zearn.org, which is an amazing site for math.
