My students are a diverse group of kids living in Brooklyn, NY that strive to be the best. There are many languages spoken in my classroom, some just learning English for the very first time. My school does not have a computer lab to allow for whole class research. My classroom has two desktops, but I know if we get these Chrome Books then more students will be able to research at the same time. They are a great group of kids who want to learn and close the achievement gap!
My Project
Your donation to this project will help to make a huge difference in my students' lives. We conduct several research projects throughout the school year in social Studies and science. One particular project my classes have always enjoyed was researching topics of the Revolutionary war, such as famous spies, fearless women, the many battles and Paul Revere! We also conduct research for our yearly science fair project. Last year my students researched, which paper towel brand was most durable when wet.
Having access to the Internet will improve their lives for the better by giving them the opportunity to watch historical videos and research topics such as the Revolutionary War!
