Christmas Fun for All

My Project

I would like my students to have a great Christmas celebration in class with their friends. We live in a high-poverty community where gifts for fun are not something they will all get to enjoy. The items I chose are gifts that they can just be a kid with. Cars and microphones can be played with during our party at school and then sent home with them to play with family and friends. My students are in second grade and would love to have gifts under our classroom tree with their names on them.

These gifts will help my students learn about giving and receiving during the holiday season.

As they play with the cars and microphones, they will interact, which will help them develop social skills. The interaction will also help them build friendships with each other as they practice singing songs while using the microphones and taking turns while using the cars.
