This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting sets of pencils, erasable colored pencils, and pencil pouches for the students in my 6th grade Choirs. I am hoping to provide these for my students (to be kept in the Chorus room) for all students to access as part of their choral education.

Many of my students are new to reading music from “standard notation” scores, and my goal is to provide them with materials to assist them in learning how to mark/annotate their sheet music to maximize their learning.

Using these materials, students will learn to mark various musical markings and highlight within their music, in order to scaffold their ability to read and interpret notated music
