Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have a premier elementary honor chorus at our school. Students audition for the honor of performing and competing in this group. Throughout the year we perform around the state of Georgia including the State Capitol, Airport, Governor's Mansion, and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. Since we perform at so many places, we want to make sure we look our best.

These garment bags and accessories will help ensure that our students look their best at their performances!

Each student in our group, receives a performance outfit. For girls they receive a dress and boys receive vest and bow tie. We want to make sure these items stay clean and safe as we travel to performances. These garment bags, hangers and racks will help the students safely care for their performance attire.

We would also like to gift each girl with a set of pearls. While we realize that these are not true pearls, the girls will love wearing their necklaces, earrings and bracelets as they perform on stage. We know this project will help our students shine and improve their confidence!
