My Students

Music transforms lives, and my students experience that every day. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a unique voice and story. For many, music is a refuge—a source of confidence and expression. They are eager, dedicated, and full of potential. They deserve a learning environment that reflects their passion.

My Project

In addition to much-needed chairs, a piano bench, and essential keyboard accessories, my classroom is in desperate need of new choral risers. The current risers, dating back to the 1980s, are rusted, unstable, and no longer safe for student use. I am not even sure this brand is manufactured anymore. These outdated risers make it difficult to host rehearsals and concerts safely, limiting the opportunities for my students to showcase their talent.

This project will provide sturdy, modern choral risers that will allow students to perform with confidence. Proper risers ensure visibility, balance, and vocal projection—key elements in a successful performance.

Impact

New choral risers will:

- Provide a safe and stable platform for student performances.

- Enhance student confidence during concerts and rehearsals.

- Allow for better sound projection and stage presence.

Having reliable risers will transform our performances, giving students the opportunity to shine in a safe environment.

The Goal

My goal is simple: equip my students with the necessary tools to thrive. By providing these essential items, I hope to:

- Foster confidence and pride in our space.

- Encourage engagement and enthusiasm for music.

- Create a safe, well-equipped performance environment.
