This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As a world cultures teacher, I take every opportunity to expose my students to cultures from all over the world. Once students learn each country's geography, governments, and economies, we dive deep into the culture. Your donation will help students understand and respect chopsticks' importance in East Asian culture. They will learn how to eat rice with chopsticks, which can be challenging for beginners but will help them build patience and perseverance. They will also be able to eat authentic Chinese good luck candy, deepening their appreciation for the culture. I know the tremendous impact experiences like this have because former students return year after year to reminisce when I teach the Asian culture lesson. They always ask for another pair of chopsticks. So please help to make this experience more meaningful.
