Choosing How We Learn, One Seat at a Time

Help me give my students the choice of flexible seating. Many of my students have tons of bottled up energy. I know that by allowing them the option to choose their seats, our focus will improve.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 21 seven and eight-year old enthusiastic learners every day. I teach in a Pre-k through 2nd grade school in a small community. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

When I look at them, I see the potential that they each have.

My students are kind, fun, and full of energy. They absorb every little thing and like to be actively involved in learning. We are eager to make this a fun and engaging year in 2nd grade

My Project

Flexible seating will allow my students to choose how they learn. By incorporating these choices into my classroom, I am not only preparing them for the future by helping them decide what works best for them and establishing good study habits, but this will also help them to focus on the lessons while still allowing them the freedom to move. I will be slowly incorporating flexible seating options into my classroom to help not only this group of students, but many students in the future. Each object that I chose will help the different types of needs that I have in my classroom.
