My students eager learners and love hands on experiences and learning engagements that help them explore their grade level content. Each of my students qualifies for special education services and has an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). My students access their grade level curriculum with accommodations and modifications specified in their IEP. My students attend a Title I school and are taught in an Special Day Class classroom which allows for students to be taught in a smaller class size setting.
All the materials I have selected for my classroom are needed and wanted already by my SDC students. With flexible seating students take charge of their learning and select the type of seat that helps them work best. My students would love the option to have the flexible seating in the classroom. Yoga balls, standing desks, and wiggle chairs would allow the students to move around a bit while staying on focused during their lessons. These materials will motive students because they will have ownership of where they chose to sit. Donations to this project will help my students and keep the motivated and focused.
