My Students

We are a small school in Kailua, Hawaii. There are 200 students from grades K-6. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds from homelessness to military officers. We do not qualify for Title I, so we are in constant need for financial support when it comes to special programs on campus. Our class sizes run from 18-37 students. Our teachers are amazing and we are considered one of the top elementary schools on the island. This program just makes us better!

My Project

Through the use of books such as Wonder and Be Kind, students will learn more about the Choose Love Program. Reading is a very important skill. The integration of social-emotional learning and reading will continue to support the child across different areas of learning.

These are basic life skills needed to navigate through life.

The following character traits are emphasized in the Choose Love Program; courage, gratitude, forgiveness and compassion in action. Every person needs these skills to become a caring individual. Why not choose happiness over anger, forgiveness over revenge?

The Rapco Horizon TDIBLOX Tape Deck Interface Device will also allow the students to watch videos or do presentations on the large screen in the cafeteria. This connects the computer to the sound system creating a movie experience.
