Choose Love Irresistible Approach to Respecting Each Other

My Project

My classroom is full of instances where we say to each other, "Choose Love" after Sandy Hook, The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement started for "Character Building and Social-Emotional Learning". Every week, we concentrate on one calendar date, saying, "Choose courage over fear."

The students then vote for a student who shows this action the most from all others in the classroom, and he/she receives a bag of chips, popcorn, etc.

along with the runner ups. The rest of the students receive a piece of candy. During the week, one will hear students say to another student, "Choose love" when kindness needs to win over selfishness.
