My Project

Our 4th and 5th-grade gifted class is embarking on a journey of empathy and compassion through R.J. Palacio's inspiring novel, "Wonder."

To enhance this experience and promote kindness in our classroom and beyond, we're seeking 100 Kindness Journals, one for every student.

These journals will serve as powerful tools for our students to:

Reflect on the themes of acceptance and kindness in "Wonder"

Record their acts of kindness and observations

Develop empathy through daily writing exercises

By providing each student with their own Choose Kind journal, we'll encourage them to internalize the novel's message and apply it to their daily lives. This project will not only enrich their reading experience but also foster a more inclusive and compassionate classroom environment.
