Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at our school love the library and they especially enjoy reading books about things that they love!
We now have a chess club, and the students are fascinated with chess and want books to help them learn more about it!
The books requested will be placed in our library so that all students will be able to check them out and learn more about chess. Ever since a group of students began playing chess in their classroom this year, the interest has been growing. These books will provide our students with a chance to become better players and learn more about chess.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
