This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to help our beginning Drum class learn and succeed to get into our Cholla Drum Line. We march the halls and create school spirit like no other middle school. Families are struggling to provide students with simple items like drum sticks. We can learn drums without them but really doesn't create success in the classroom.
These students will learn everything from xylophone, drum set, rudiments and marching skills.
In our concerts we create rock bands that perform and most of these students will play in them. Our drum class not only improves confidence and professionalism, the entire school benefits from the group to bring the school together.
