Help me give my students the opportunity to compete at a regional level among other middle school choirs.

I have 65 seventh graders and 5 eighth-graders in my choir classes that I see once a day for 45 minutes. They come from all walks of life and all cultures... American, African-American, Hispanic, etc. My students are eager to learn and experience all they can musically. Our school has approximately 1,100 students enrolled this semester with many coming from households with very low incomes and a very high percentage receiving free or reduced-rate lunches. Please help us get to Region Choral Performance Assessment this year.
This trip will make a difference in my students learning by affording them the opportunity to compete at a local level where they must sing two to three songs from a required literature list together in different types of ensembles and choirs where they will receive written feedback by three experienced choral judges on their performances in the areas of accuracy, knowledge of music, expression, and preparedness, similar to sports teams; as well as sightreading where students will have to sing a piece of new literature at “sight” in front of a judge; plus this opportunity will afford them the chance to see and hear other middle school choirs from around our region.
