Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have some of the most persistent and determined students. These students have to go through so much just to get to school. We have students that are still without a home, because of the damage from Hurricane Harvey. Our campus has changed and grow so much this past year, and we are still looking for more ways to help our students in any and every way that we can.
All of our teachers are working hard to make the school a positive and life changing place to inspire our students to be the best versions of themselves.
We are a school that has just made it out of 5 years being an improvement required campus. We are working hard to continue to improve for our students.
My Project
We need these items to help us make our rehearsals more effective. The music stands will help with conducting and organization in the classroom. The two that we have currently fall over if you put more than 5 pages on them. The headphones will help the students focus during individual practice time. The microphone will help us to record our rehearsals so that we can evaluate ourselves and improve mistakes. The students have not had the opportunity to hear themselves sing and evaluate themselves. It would be an amazing opportunity and a wonderful teaching tool.
Our Choir room is extremely behind with technology and equipment, and we would greatly appreciate your help in getting our classroom to where it should be.
