This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing this proposal for my students who participate in our school choir program. Our elementary school serves a large urban area with a high percentage of students from low-income homes. Our student body is culturally diverse, allowing our school community to experience languages and customs from many cultures as we interact daily.

Many of my students do not have the opportunity to explore and experience high-quality vocal music instruction outside of the school setting.

Seeing them grow in their knowledge and excitement of music is exciting. Many of our students will continue participating in vocal music at the high school level.

We are asking for a set of rolling garment carts and garment bags to hold and store our new choir performance shirts. We know that looking great is part of sounding great. We are trying to keep our concert shirts clean and usable for the next several years. Keeping them hung and stored safely will set us up for success year after year. Thank you for helping us keep our precious items usable for years to come!
