Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students, many of whom are unfamiliar with trades, are eager to explore new avenues of learning. Introducing wood carving into our makerspace offers them a hands-on experience that could shape their future career paths. The requested tools—powercarvers and burrs—will serve as their introduction to this craft.

We aim not only to foster their creativity but also to help them discover potential career interests.

By working with these tools, students can gain insight into various trades and find where their passions lie.

What distinguishes my students is their resilience and determination. Despite their initial unfamiliarity with woodworking, they approach the task with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Your support will provide them with a valuable opportunity to explore potential career paths while honing their craft. Thank you for investing in our students' future and helping them discover their passions!
