My Project
I work with several young special education students who did not have the opportunity to socialize and interact with others on a regular basis during COVID-19. As a result, they have difficulty engaging appropriately with their peers and often struggle to remain focused in the classroom. Sometimes they simply need a break. I want to be able to provide a calming space in my classroom that will allow them to do this. After utilizing the Bamboo Sensory and Construction Bricks Table with clear tubs, resting in the Big Joe Classic Bean Bag Chair, reading I Have Feelings Books, or playing with Lakeshore Bristle Builders- Master Set they can then return to their regular classroom refreshed and ready to learn.
