This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher who works with amazing students who have specific learning eligibilities. My students are one of kind and are filled with so much joy and kindness. My students live in an underprivileged community so I want their classroom to be filled with endless possibilities. My students consider their school like a second home and I want to make sure I can find the funds to make their environment as safe, comfortable and welcoming as I can.

My students have a bright future ahead of them and show much excitement about learning new things every day.

They deserve the best because they are the best!

My Project

I want to provide this space for my students so they grow to love reading and share that passion for books with others. Students will use this space for a brain break and hopefully implement reading as part of their daily routine. I want to fill the shelves with books where my students, culture, and history are represented. Students will be able to take these books home and exchange them for a new one when they are done reading them. They will have space in the classroom to sit in a bean bag chair or floor mats and read while in school. I hope our little library will continue to grow which will provide more of a selection for the kids.
