Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to have a choice of where they learn best. In my classroom, I see 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders which is a total of over 40 students that I see in one day. By having different options students can decide how they feel most comfortable learning. I am trying to add more selections to my classroom by creating a Cozy Corner.

Sometimes they need a place to take a break and a Cozy Corner would give the students just that place.

I have requested several items that will fill up the area and let students take a well-needed break or just a comfortable place to work.

The Big Joe chairs, a floor lamp, and sensory fidgets will make the area complete.

I have also requested a Teacher Pay Teachers gift card so I can find some creative materials to put in the Cozy Corner.

I can see how this area will have a positive impact on the students by giving them a quiet spot to rest, relax and reset.
