My Students
My students are some of the most creative and curious people I have ever met. Every day they surprise me!
As an educator, I want to create an environment for them in which they feel safe to explore, create, and express themselves.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and home lives but always take on every challenge I give them without hesitation. They have done everything from creating their own musicals to dancing expressively with classical music. I am proud of them each and every day.
My Project
Literacy and music go hand in hand and providing my students with quality literature will only help increase their love for reading and music. The students in my classroom love the opportunity to read and sing books whenever they get the chance! However, we do not have enough books to go around.
The books purchased will be used in both whole group classroom instruction as well as for independent study and exploration among the individual students.
Some of the requested books already have a recording or a tune assigned to them while others will be used as a basis for students to create their own music.
