This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing little people that teach me every day. I, in turn, teach them how to play.

Play is such an important aspect for preschool children.

Play helps them learn social skills, literacy skills, math skills, cognitive skills, and life skills.

Children with autism sometimes have a difficult time knowing how to pretend play. Having different materials in our dramatic play area will help us teach them how to pretend play.

Having a pretend microwave will help us teach how to pretend cook with students. Pushing the little button with numbers helps them learn numbers. Cooking a meal for a friend helps them learn social skills. Looking at words on a recipe helps them with literacy skills.
