Children Who Make a Difference!

My Students

There are so many things I love about teaching first grade. My students are thoughtful, kind and enthusiastic to help one another.

They are excited to see that their small acts of kindness make a difference in the lives of people they know.

Now they are becoming aware that they can make a difference in the lives of people they may never met. Each day, students in my class share ways that they can make the world a better place.

My Project

These words have inspired me and I want to inspire my students to think of others.

Each week, my first graders meet with their fifth grade "Buddies" to do various reading and math activities. This year, I would like for the students to make holiday crafts to be distributed to the three local nursing homes in our areas.

I want these precious students to learn that even though they are children, they can make a difference in the lives of others.
