Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school have so little and I want to give them so much more. All of the students here come from homes below the poverty line, and I want them to have the chance to experience something that can influence their lives.

Our kids are so special that even without the resources, they still work just as hard or harder to try and rise to the occasion.

I love the fact that our kids already know the odds are stacked against them, but they face adversity head-on!

My Project

Please help our students get the supplies needed to start preparing their own comfort food for their afterschool programs. These supplies are necessary as they are the key component to preparing any type of meal.

Our students have learned some home skills at home during the pandemic and now they will be able to turnkey some of the cooking skills they learned for our afterschool programs.

There is absolutely nothing better than comfort food that helps warm our students' hungry stomachs especially when it is our own students learning how to make it on their own. It's a lifelong skill that is a must learn.
