This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the honor of being one of the dual language teacher for some of the sweetest kids in the district. While some children are thriving because they have their fundamental needs met, some families are struggling. No child should have to come to school without having their basic needs met. These kids should be able to focus on learning and having fun with their peers. Some of these students often come to school without their basic needs met. Please help me create a supply closet within my school basic hygiene items and school supplies for needy families. This will allow me to offer help to these families with what they need to be successful both at home and at school. Some of these items include, socks, blankets, snacks, a drawer where they can put their belongings, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene supplies. The basic needs of young children should be met and we can all help!
