This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for a printer for my second-grade class for many reasons. A printer will provide me the opportunity to help my students during small group instruction. I will be able to help each child individually, based on their specific needs, during our literacy block. The printer will also help provide my students with more engaging visuals to understand activities that we are learning in the classroom. I will be able to create visual aids, charts, activities, and assignments for the students. Color images make learning more fun and engaging.

A printer will provide my students the opportunity to create their own visual aids in mathematics.

We have been learning about tally marks, line plots, and making bar graphs. My students love to go around the classroom and ask their friends about their favorite colors or favorite pizza toppings. They then create a bar graph with the information they collected. A printer will provide my students the opportunity to create and print their data. They can then share their results in a presentation.
