Children at the Center

Help me give my students storage containers for, and items to replenish, classroom STEM and early childhood centers.

My Project

I love that my students like to learn through play and “trial and error”. The students find these opportunities at the STEM and early childhood centers.

My kindergarten students enjoy building and creating using items such as magna-tiles, marble runs, play-doh, and building blocks.

They are learning as they chatter, plan, and construct. They are learning about how the world works through “hands-on” activities.

They also like to play house, school, and childcare with the baby dolls. The classroom has only two washable dolls at this time. Having more dolls will allow a larger group to participate. Students increase their language, vocabulary, and social skills through role play.

My class has learned that the people you play with are more important than the game. They are practicing sportsmanship through soccer. They could use a new ball.

Finally, we are in need of adequate storage bins. The classroom has cabinets that are great for storing the STEM items. Coordinating storage units would make the most use of that space.

My students appreciate the support from the greater community and donors choose.
