This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Last year I started a Basketball club after-school for 4th and 5th graders and it was a SLAM DUNK!! After the program ended I thought about what I could do and how I could do it to make to make it even MORE successful.

Students come in all shapes and sizes as do basketballs and equipment.

Not everyone can use the same ball because they may not be on the same level, therefore you need a variety of sizes of equipment and balls to use for a program. Help me make the program the best it can be for the best kids!

My Project

There are many differences between children and basketballs. There is one thing that is alike though and that is that they come in different shapes, colors, and sizes. Help me bring the basketball program I started last year back and better than ever.

We have many different types of learners in the program so one type of ball does not cut it.

Just as children learn differently in the classroom, the gym is no different. in an after-school program, I get to really focus on select students and see what they can do. What they need help with and what they are already succeeding with.
