Help me give my students the opportunity to explore science every day in the classroom by using an incubator will help they watch the life process of chicks.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a very high needs school in the Bronx. We have limited access to learning tools and books. I am looking for ways to make learning more accessible to my students. My students are in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom. They are an exciting group of mixed interest, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are reading above their grade level and others are struggling to sound out words and make meaning of what they are reading. My goal as a teacher is to meet students where they are and motivate them to go above and beyond.
These projects will allow me to bring exciting and educational projects to the families in our school community to foster the love of learning and expose them to new ideas.
With your help, I can make my students more well rounded.
My Project
My students are learning about animals. Help me bring our informational unit to life by donating to our baby chick. Students will be able to watch their chicks grow starting from eggs.
My students love animals and have been asking for a class pet to love.
During this unit they are learning how to write facts about different animals. They will read, learn, and write research books explaining what different animals eat, look like and their habitats.
Help me bring science into the classroom everyday, while helping to expand their writing. I truly need your help to make this dream a reality for my students.
