Chickadee Award Books to Support Our Library Studies

Help me give my students Chickadee Award books to support our literary studies.

My Project

Every year our school participates in voting for the Maine Chickadee Award. Ten picture books are selected for their outstanding story in text and illustrations by a panel of teachers, librarians, and early literacy professionals. All children who participate in the program vote for their favorite book prior to April1, 2025. Students have a variety of opportunities to become involved with each story, to explore its meaning and share their ideas with others.

Having a second set of Chickadee Award Books available would make these wonderful stories more accessible to my students, as there is always a big waiting list for each title.

It would be great for them to be able to check the books out while memories of our library lessons are still fresh in their minds.
