This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My favorite quote is, the more you read the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you will go.
My students range in age from four to six years old and each of them have drastically different learning needs.
Some students in my classroom need to practice letter formation, phonics skills such as sounds, counting and others need to hear additional stories read to them to help them to develop vocabulary, listening skills and build reading and writing skills. Other students in my class are reading beyond grade level, writing books, solving math equations and are ready to do research in the classroom.
My Project
I am requesting 1 iPad, 1 pair of headphones, and 1 iPad case.
One learning tool that fits all of my students' various learning needs and differentiates instruction is the class iPad. The iPad gives each student individualized instruction and helps them to focus on learning activities and engages students visually, and at each student’s academic level. The iPad also allows me to plan instruction for each individual student as well as document each student’s individual progress.
My classroom wish is for my students to have an iPad mini for the classroom and provide each student with more opportunities to use the class iPad.
They also will be able to use the iPad to document their learning during centers by taking videos and photos of center activities such as acting out stories in drama, building a habitat with blocks or something they created at the art studio or easel. This iPad will also allow me to incorporate more technology into lessons and teach my students how to use technology as a tool in the classroom.
