Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, A Xylophone In The Music Room!

My Students

My students are hungry, excited and willing to learn about Orff instruments.

My students come into music class just hoping to hear the words "it's time for instruments" (which I do every music class).

They get so excited when I incorporate instruments into the lesson even if they are just playing a steady beat while we sing, they are happy kiddos.

My Project

My students will use this alto xylophone on a daily basis. I have one soprano xylophone that was funded recently and am hoping to receive more. The more xylophones I have the more students will get to individually get to perform on them instead of having to share or only a few students at a time getting a turn. I am starting the number of Orff instruments at my school from scratch and am trying to build up the amount for my large class sizes. My students will be so happy the more and more instruments we are able to receive.

Donations to this project will help my classroom because every student will benefit from having Orff instruments in the classroom.

Playing a xylophone is beneficial with fine motor skills, recalling patterns and for concentration and focus. Thank you for your consideration.
