Help me give my students new and challenging chapter books to grow their love for reading! We also need many other items such as book bins, a rolling cart and a karaoke microphone.
My classroom is made up of a diverse group of students with different learning styles and academic needs. My students come from various ethnic and racial backgrounds and I am privileged to observe and learn about the variety of cultures present in my classroom. Many of my students are English Language Learners and come from all different walks of life. Together, we form a cohesive classroom community where we work together to achieve all our academic goals.
I strive to provide my students opportunities to grow as individuals and to gain the character traits needed in order to become life long learners.
My students and I share a love of learning and I want to ensure that they have all the necessary supplies and materials to be successful.
My Project
My classroom needs new and challenging chapter books to keep my eager readers engaged! With multiple copies of the same book, I can create guided reading literature circles for my students. These literature circles help boost student understanding and comprehension, as well as build up their growing vocabulary skills.
I strive to provide my students with the resources they need in order to succeed.
In our classroom that includes access to the newest technology, providing materials that emphasize our diverse learners, and jumbo-sized poster paper for our science lessons. I also work towards creating a welcoming and comfortable classroom environment. I would love to build a new and improved classroom library with bright, colorful bins for storage and easy access. I would also love to provide my students with a rolling storage cart for writers workshop. The students would use it to store their growing bundle of writing notebooks.
My students would benefit from having access to color ink through our daily reading and math centers, and science lessons. In Earth Science, we are learning about Earth changes and water on Earth. Having color ink to print pictures and task cards would be greatly beneficial for my students to get the visual aid they need in order to understand a new and tricky topic.
Finally, I love to try new and fun things in the classroom to boost student engagement. The microphone would be used for classroom presentations throughout the year. It really helps my shy readers come out of their shell and bravely read out loud!
