My students were born into the age of technology. They need portable interactive systems to keep up with this technology including action-packed games focused on learning essentials in phonics, spelling, math, art, music, and more.
My students are the sweetest bunch of seven year-olds who attend a Title I school in California.
They are second graders, which is a crucial time for mastering the fundamentals of reading fluency and comprehension. Their brains are like little sponges that absorb everything. They come from families that are struggling. I try not to let their home struggles affect the daily learning that happens in the classroom.
My Project
I am asking for an iPad to replace our currently outdated technology to support the latest learning apps and programs. We also need seat sacks to store our Chromebooks and headphones. We use our iPads and Chromebooks frequently throughout the day and can't waste class time returning them to the cart every time.
We need to have technology at our fingertips!
Seat sacks will allow our class to use their Chromebooks and iPads as needed during instruction so we are not wasting time. We will also be able to keep our headphones in our seat sacks to keep them safe when we are not using them. Having an Apple pencil will allow students to show the class what they are working on through our Apple TV.
Our class needs a wireless doorbell for calm transitions throughout the day.
