This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a brand new Chess Club. Students are very excited to have tournaments and special matches within the school setting. Students are playing on their own time and need a place to gather. Students are very excited about this opportunity. I am in need of 7 Chess boards, 4 Chess timers, and 2 boxes of snacks.
Chess Club will help those students who are shy and play on their own to have other students to compete against.
We will also teach new students how to play and teach them different strategies.
