it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year, I would like to form a chess club at my middle school. To do so, we would need chess boards so that students can play games of chess against one another. It is important for students to experience playing chess with a physical game board as well as online. Playing chess requires critical thinking skills and allows students to problem solve in real time. These skills can be transferred to the classroom as students work to solve math problems and form hypotheses in science. Eventually, we would like to take our skills to district-level chess tournaments.
