Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I want my students to have the support and resources they need and deserve. They are very eager, energetic, fun preschoolers who want nothing more than to succeed in the classroom and build the foundation they need to be successful in the school years to come.

I love to see how excited and open my students are to learning new things each day in the classroom.

I want to give my students every opportunity in my classroom, so they can enjoy all that preschool has to offer. My students are creative, smart, and eager to learn. I have the opportunity to teach 20 wonderful preschool students who come from Spanish-speaking homes.

My students attend a low-income school in Chicago. About 90% of the students are from low-income households. As their teacher, I am dedicated to creating an environment where they feel safe, happy, and valued.

My Project

This project will allow me to make personalized cups specially designed for each student in the class. It will also help our Earth, which we always review and are reminded about the importance of recycling and reusing. I emphasize how we need to be cautious about the use of plastic. This cup will serve as a water bottle instead of them using disposable plastic non-biodegradable containers. I plan to infuse my students' likings onto the cup to make it an even better surprise with a Cricut Mug Press. This cup will also serve as a memory of PreK.
