My students need a balance scale.

I teach all levels of chemistry at a small, rural high school in the mountains of NC. The class sizes are small so they will only need this one accurate balance to share.

Before teaching chemistry, I was a chemist in industry. I try to simulate real-life lab situations with my students. This is why a more accurate balance will really help.

Teaching in a small, rural area, funds are normally limited. Now that the economy is struggling, funds are even tighter in education. Any help is appreciated in order to prepare these students for college and possible futures in science.

Balances are a crucial part of any science class. This more accurate balance will be greatly used by all students in science, but in math as well. This allows several teachers at this school to do more activities. Please help give our students a wider variety of activities through a better balance.
