Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working and eager to learn. They come to school everyday with a smile on their faces ready to give their all in their classwork.

Many of my students come from low income homes.

A majority of the students receive free or reduce-price school lunch. Most of the students speak two languages, English and Spanish. They live in a hard neighborhood but they love coming to school. They are awesome kids to work with.

My Project

This year our school has implemented the Ron Clark Academy House system, to improve our school culture. Each student is part of a house and throughout the year they earn points for achieving good grades, attendance, being a good citizen, and much more. We also have house meetings and pep rally's to showcase our house spirit. My student's house is Altruismo, we are the givers.

During the pep rally's and celebrations we want our Altruismo students to be the loudest and most spirited by having cowbells, noisemakers, pom-poms, and more to stand out from the rest of the houses!

They will use these at every event, then at the end we will use the Microban spray and lysol wipes to disinfect all the items. Then store them in the plastic bins for our next event.
