Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 7th and 8th-grade Mathematics. My students are currently using headphones that were purchased 5 years ago. These headphones are starting to break down. We are updating our technology so that each student in junior high has access to headphones that are comfortable and reliable. These headphones have been used in another class and students love them.
When students have proper materials, more work can be completed!
We are also updating our calculators. Students are able to use these calculators on part one of the state mathematics test. We need to have a full set of calculators so that each student can work out problems and check their answers. Since many students are going into high school next year, we need to prepare them to use a calculator efficiently!
