My Students
"I can't read it!" Too often my students say this to their families when it is time to read at home. My students need to be able to read books at their reading level at home and at school. My goal is to check-out books to each of my students to practice at home and read to their families.
My students are an amazing group of children who come from hardworking, middle class families.
My students are funny, energetic and entertaining each day. They make me want to be a better teacher! I want them to have every opportunity possible to feel successful!
My Project
My students love to read! However, they often get discouraged when book after book they choose to read is too difficult. These non-fiction books I am requesting will be going home with my students each night so they can practice reading with their families. My classroom supply does not allow all my students to take home books each night. Adding new books to our classroom supply would insure each student has a book at home to read successfully!

Ensuring that they have reading materials that are both fun and instructional gives them the motivation to practice reading, the opportunity to learn about their world and the confidence to keep reading and learning.
