This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to me either eager to learn math or terrified! I teach a very diverse group of students from various backgrounds. I've had students tell me by the end of the year that even though they are not the best at math they feel better about it and loved being in my class. I am always looking for new strategies that can help my students succeed.

My goal is to make my class engaging so that students want to be there, so that we can work together to bring out their inner mathematician!

My Project

Students will be able to use white boards to check for understanding while collaborating in groups. White boards is a great way for students to be engaged and demonstrate their strategies on how to solve a math problem.

White boards will allow for students to learn mathematics while collaborating with others and supporting their thinking process.

Please help my students obtain white boards that can be used in the classroom.

Students will be able to learn from one another and help others that need additional support in mathematics as their responses will be easy to see using white boards.
