My Students

My kindergarten through 8th grade classes are from an urban community on the south side of Chicago. 93% of these students are from low income families. Our school has over 300 students with a 97% attendance rate. The average class size is 21 students. Academically, our school has grown from a Level 3 school to a Level 1 school - definitely something to be proud of!

My students are so proud of their work and so eager to share it with me!

Their computer skills are great. They can't wait to come into the Computer Lab to "show off".

My Project

My kindergarten through 8th grade classes are using a Math program for enrichment when they come to me in the Computer Lab. Instead of just guessing answers, I am encouraging them to always check their Math problems for possible mistakes before submitting their answers.

They need pencils, erasers, scratch pads and an electric pencil sharpener to help them be successful.

These supplies would for be readily available for their use. I would also like to have small storage bins to place on their tables for easy access of their supplies.
