Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the privilege of working with a group of curious, hardworking, and motivated students who are passionate about hands-on STEM learning. They constantly impress me with their creativity and problem-solving skills, but lack access to the technology that would allow them to fully explore their potential. That's why I'm requesting a desktop Mac for our STEM classroom.

A dedicated Mac will empower my students to engage in a wide range of activities that align with our state standards.

They will use design software for creating digital models, running simulations, and testing prototype, skills essential for future careers in engineering, architecture, and computer science. The Mac will also support coding programs like Scratch, Swift, and Python, allowing students to learn programming and build their own apps, games, and websites.

Additionally, students will use the computer for multimedia projects like video editing, graphic design, and digital presentations, helping them develop essential communication skills. With programs like Excel and Google Sheets, they will collect and analyze data, create graphs, and draw conclusions, which is key to scientific inquiry. The Mac will also facilitate collaboration, enabling students to work together on group projects, use online research tools, and develop critical thinking and teamwork skills.

The goal of this project is to equip my students with the tools they need to dive deeper into STEM concepts, build real-world skills, and prepare for future careers in technology and engineering. My students are passionate, creative, and eager to learn, and with the right resources, I know they will thrive. Thank you for helping us unlock new opportunities for growth and success!
