Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are bright, curious, and full of potential—but like all children, they sometimes face big emotions that can feel overwhelming. To help them succeed academically and socially, we want to provide a variety of sensory materials that will empower them to recognize, understand, and manage their feelings.

When children have the opportunity to pause, calm their bodies, and refocus their minds, they’re better prepared to learn, participate, and build positive relationships with peers.

These tools, such as fidget items, textured fabrics, calming visuals, and quiet sensory activities, will give students safe, constructive ways to self-regulate.

Your support will help create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and ready to engage. By meeting their sensory and emotional needs, we can give every child the tools they need to thrive, not just in school, but in life.
