My students need heavy duty pocket charts and a pocket chart stand for classroom visuals of anchor charts and student jobs!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Potts's classroom raised $277
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students live in a large city in North Carolina and attend public school in CMS. They are in grades PreK-Fifth. My elementary school is one of the most diverse schools in the nation. The diversity at this school makes it a great place to work. I use music as a tool to teach empathy, the value of practice and hard work, teamwork, literacy, and mostly--the value and joy of music!
I am a third-year teacher and am continually assessing the best way to teach my students, and the best environment to do so in.
My Project
Because I have almost 800 students and over 30 classes at a time, pocket charts will help organization in my music room. Student jobs will be posted (i.e. "phone answer helper", "door attendant", "line leader", etc.) as well as the daily agenda for what we are doing that day.
These pocket charts and the stand will help students remember what their jobs are each class period and will allow us to easily switch student jobs, giving all students the opportunity for leadership in music class.
These charts are also large enough for students who are just learning to read to see from the back of the class.
