My Project
I love my students' willingness to collaborate with each other. Learning becomes so much more engaging when they are able to take charge of the conversation! I have used anchor charts for years, but last year I tried something new. I put the anchor chart paper in their hands and equipped them with all the tools they needed.
Asking them to create their own anchor charts yielded absolutely amazing results!
Instead of the hearts, flowers, and unicorns I expected, I got evidence of critical thinking and sharing of ideas. Their motivation increased and their writing gained depth. They requested to work that way for the remainder of the year. I LOVE when they want to learn!
